Tree care for the South Plains

Wind, drought, alkaline soils, and irrigation that favors turf over roots shape how trees live or fail here. We plan pruning, removal, and nutrition for West Texas species and sites, and we coordinate with irrigation repair when watering is part of the problem.

Comprehensive tree care

Trees are intricate organisms. Health depends on soil, roots, and canopy, and on sunlight, species, nearby structures, and history. We meet those demands with competent care for every customer.

Tree pruning in Lubbock

“A good artist knows when to create; a great artist knows when to stop.” We prune the right wood at the right time, nothing more, nothing less.

Tree removal & stump grind

Any tree can be safely removed. We use current rigging and felling techniques and the experience to match the site: structures, wires, and people included.

Tree nutrition (ORGANIFEED)

Trees need light, water, and nutrients. We developed ORGANIFEED, a blend of macronutrients, micronutrients, tree probiotics, and microbial foods. Delivered at regular intervals, it builds a culture of soil health trees can use.

Bracing & cabling

When structure becomes hazardous, external support can reduce failure risk. We offer static cabling, dynamic cabling, and bracing where appropriate, not as a substitute for removal when removal is the honest answer.

Treatment

Stressed trees invite pathogens. Chemical and cultural treatments are available to address pests and disease and restore health when recovery is realistic.

Testing & diagnosis

Trees do not explain themselves. Soil and plant tissue samples, processed with the Texas A&M lab, tell us what is actually wrong. We collect samples correctly and interpret results for a plan you can act on.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have a certified arborist on staff?

Yes. Operator Daniel Smith is a Certified Arborist (TX-4745A). Tree work is planned and overseen to arborist standards, not treated as generic landscaping.

When should I prune trees in West Texas?

Timing depends on species and goal (structure, clearance, deadwood). Wrong cuts or the wrong season can stress a tree. We prune the right wood at the right time and stop there.

How do I know if a tree should be removed vs cabled?

Structure, species, targets (house, wires, play areas), and residual risk decide it. Cabling can reduce failure risk when the tree is worth keeping. When removal is the honest answer, we say so and remove it safely, with stump grinding available.

What is ORGANIFEED?

ORGANIFEED is our soil nutrition blend: macronutrients, micronutrients, tree probiotics, and microbial foods. Regular deep delivery supports soil culture so trees can use what they need in West Texas conditions.

Can bad irrigation kill my trees?

Yes. Constant shallow water, dry root zones, and runoff patterns show up as tree stress. Because we also repair irrigation, we often look at both canopy and watering when symptoms do not add up.

Do you test soil or tissue for tree problems?

Yes. We collect soil and plant tissue samples for lab analysis (including Texas A&M) and interpret results into a plan: cultural changes, nutrition, treatment, or further monitoring.

Irrigation + trees

Wrong watering kills more trees than people admit. Because we repair irrigation for a living, we see the connection daily: runoff, dry root zones, constant shallow water, and “green grass / dying oak” patterns. Ask us to look at both when symptoms do not add up. Start with irrigation repair if the lawn and trees both look wrong.

  • I used M&M Sprinkler for my home sprinkler system and will now never use anyone else! So professional, efficient and friendly! He even offered tips to help my lawn and tree health in the future. It is amazing when you have someone take their time on sprinkler direction, setting days on the controllers, and help with timing, how much better everything is doing.
